Also known as “weak” artificial intelligence is goal-oriented and focused on one narrow task. It is implied that artificial intelligence will outperform humans in a narrowly defined or structured task.
ANI does not think for itself. It simulates human behaviour based on a set of rules, parameters and contexts in which it was trained.
While it always uses the acronym ANI, the full term sometimes flips the order of the words: Narrow Artificial Intelligence.
